The Collaborative Centres on Energy and its Transition (C2ET), an initiative of Concordia University, brings together world-class researchers, facilities and industry partners to enable the electrification of society for a more sustainable future.

Our mission

To develop integrated energy systems with electrochemical devices and hydrogen until they are brought to market.

Our vision

To become the industry benchmark in the design and industrialization of renewable energy systems.

Our axes of focus

The two complementary centres of this research and training network—C2 ET-Research and C2 ET-Innovation—collaborate closely to transform the local economy and workforce by focusing on the following five axes:

  • Next-generation of batteries beyond lithium-ion
  • Hydrogen storage and production
  • Integration with energy systems
  • Industrialization, technology transfer and marketing
  • Socio-economic analysis, dissemination of knowledge and entrepreneurship
